Abaigeal has used her experience as a tutor for an SAT preparation company combined with direct teaching and tutoring experiences with teenagers and college students. No two students are alike, and therefore, following a pat coursebook does not adequately serve individual needs.

Abaigeal provides study materials, practice questions, and vocabulary builders. These are all tailored to students' unique strengths and needs. Additionally, Abaigeal provides at cost "The Official SAT Study Guide;" or you may wish to order it independently.

College Applications

Abaigeal will work with you to make sure that you make your best impression through your college applications. As needed, she can help you with your college search, planning, filling out applications, and of course, crafting the application essays. Most colleges today make use of the Common Application, but many also require supplemental material or essays.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can be a very confusing form, as is the entire process of working with schools and outside agencies to try to obtain funding for higher education. Abaigeal can help you get through the confusion. Often, families who want help with financial aid schedule an appointment with me to go over materials with both the student and one or both parents.

Whether you need help organizing your study, questions about moving forward with asignment, or help with a final essay project, I am willing to work with you to help you achieve academic success.

Abaigeal offers free workshops for parents and students who want an overview of the college application process. This includes tips for planning your college search, visiting campuses with a plan that will help with applications, and making the most of what you have to offer (and thoughtfully addressing any weak points).

$75.00 per hour. With a pre-payment for 6 or more sessions, the rate is reduced to $60.00 per hour.
